Key points about Illinois Lemon Law
Vehicles Covered: Illinois Lemon Law covers new cars, light trucks and vans under 8,000 pounds and recreational vehicles excluding trailers. It, however, excludes motorcycles.
Repair Intervals: Vehicles that have undergone 4 repair attempts or have been out of service for 30 business days can qualify as a lemon under the Illinois Lemon Law.
Coverage Period: A vehicle can qualify as a lemon only if it is less than 1 year old and has covered less that 12,000 miles.
