Vehicles Covered: Iowa Lemon Law covers a self-propelled vehicle purchased or leased and primarily designed for the transportation of persons or property over public streets and highways, but it does not cover mopeds, motorcycles, motor homes, or vehicles over ten thousand pounds GVW.

Repair Intervals: Under the Iowa Lemon Law, a vehicle has to undergo 1 repair attempt for a defect that might cause death or serious injury or 3 repair attempts or 30 calendar days out of service for other problems before it can qualify as a lemon.

Coverage Period: A vehicle which is less than 2 years old and has covered less than 24,000 miles is eligible to be called a lemon under Iowa Lemon Law
